A great labyrinth whose exits open and finish off in the ocean. It is a game where everything was created to generate a continuous drive by the sea; to make those who inhabit it look for and find the exit, always reach it with the look, catch it.
Here, the rooms seek to generate an emotional sensation of wellbeing; hence, the heavens and sea are showcased. Indeed, it would be hard to find something as elemental or liberating as the divine blue skies and vivid sunsets at Mar Adentro.
Various locations are available to suit every occasion, whether it be a special celebration or a family reunion.
With a view of the Pacific, the horizon and open sky are the perfect setting. Marriage ceremonies may be held on the upper terrace.

An idea by Architect Miguel Angel Aragones with the first hotel ENCANTO in Acapulco, which was built between the years 2001-2009 with few resources, economic materials, and local labor. Encanto is a great labyrinth whose exits open out onto and are completed by the ocean. The building tries to retain a human scale, occasionally narrow, even small compared to or in contrast with its great heights; it has corners where only two people fit, intimate spaces that shelter and protect its guests. Everything was playfully created to generate continual momentum from the sea, to compel those staying there to seek and find a way out, arriving at it always and capturing it with their gazes.
Mar Adentro was conceived in the year 2011 and completed in 2017 by local craftsmanship. Always considering the two great protagonists of this work over all: the horizon and the ocean.

Un concepto del arquitecto Miguel Ángel Aragonés, en el que un hotel es creado en proporciones humanas y complementado por la armonía de la arquitectura con el entorno circundante. “La gente quiere que les construyamos un hogar feliz y, para ser honesto, nosotros como arquitectos estamos lejos de lograrlo. Tan sólo podemos aspirar a crear espacios que generen emociones y sensaciones de bienestar. El resto depende de quienes los habiten.”
Un lugar de suntuosa austeridad, un ambiente completo y continuo, con una atmósfera de resguardo, buena comida y una sensación de amplitud. La arquitectura que busca comenzar una conversación, espacios en los que uno puede escuchar música, un hogar temporal con servicio honesto y discreto.
La percepción del espacio y la estructura arquitectónica blanca se transforman a voluntad por el paso del sol y las nubes, y cada día reconfiguran de forma minuciosa y continua la amplitud acogedora por medio de una arquitectura que se transforma completamente con la luz natural y sus extravagantes estados de ánimo.
Un intento de comprender los contrastes entre la luz en interiores y exteriores. Todo lo anterior ha sido vital para facilitar la unidad del espacio, la fusión del interior y el exterior en mis construcciones.
